Policies & Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing us to care for your dog. Our policies are in place to ensure the safety, well being, and comfort of every dog in our care, and to help our small business operate smoothly.

By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the following terms:

1. Booking & Deposits
All new clients are required to complete a Client Consent Form before their first appointment.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all bookings. This secures your slot and is deducted from your final balance on the day.

Appointment confirmations and reminders will be sent via email and/or text. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.

2. Cancellations, No Shows & Rescheduling
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointment will incur a 50% charge of the total groom cost.

No shows or cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged 100% of the grooming fee.

Future appointments will not be accepted until outstanding balances are cleared.

We understand that life happens, please just reach out if something comes up!

3. Consultations & First Visits
Your first appointment will in clude a brief consultation to discuss your dog’s coat, temperament, and any health or behavioral considerations.

Please allow 15 minutes of your time.

Pre-and post-groom photographs may be taken and used for educational or promotional purposes, with your permission.

4. Health, Wellbeing & Behavior
All dogs receive a general visual health check before grooming. Any concerns will be noted and shared with you at collection. It is the owner’s responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions, behavioral issues, allergies, or aggression prior to the appointment.

We do not accept dogs that are:
Visibly ill
Suffering from contagious conditions

Aggressive or highly reactive dogs may be refused, muzzled if necessary, or have their grooming session paused or ended early for safety.

Nail quickening, minor cuts, or nicks can occur despite every precaution

Sharp tools are used, and pets can be unpredictable.

Owners are liable for any injuries or damages caused by their pet.

5. Fleas & Parasite Control
Dogs with fleas will not be accepted. If fleas are discovered during the appointment, the groom may be stopped, and a £25 salon decontamination fee will be added.

Please check your dog for fleas beforehand. If you suspect an issue, contact us to reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee.

6.Matting Policy
Under the Animal Welfare Act (2006), we will not carry out prolonged or painful de-matting.

Severely matted dogs will be clipped short in the kindest, most humane way.

This policy exists to prevent pain, stress, and skin issues. Matting also damages our equipment and extends grooming time.

A matting fee will apply depending on severity and will be discussed prior to the groom.

Ongoing matting can be avoided with regular grooming appointments and proper at-home care.

7.Puppies & Elderly Dogs
Puppies must be fully vaccinated before their first grooming appointment.

We welcome elderly dogs but ask that owners are aware of and accept any increased risk due to age-related conditions.

Extra time and care are always provided to both puppies and senior pets.

8. Veterinary Authorisation
In the event of a medical emergency or injury during the groom, we reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment at your expense if we cannot reach you in time.

9. Timekeeping & Collection
We operate by appointment only—please arrive on time. Dogs dropped off more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled.

Collection should be made at the time given to avoid undue stress to your dog and delays to other appointments.

We will ring or text you when your dog is 20 minutes (unless an alternative time is agreed) from being ready for collection.

Please be patient if the appointment is taken longer than expected, there are a number of factors that can contribute to
this. We pride ourselves in keeping a calm salon and will not rush your dog’s groom.

10. Services We Do Not Provide
We do not express anal glands, as this is a veterinary procedure.

If you have any questions about these policies or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re here to ensure your pet is safe, happy, and looking their best.
